Severe Weather Safety

Arkansas gets its share of severe weather, with tornadoes, floods, ice storms and incredible heat throughout the year. Being prepared is one of the best ways to ensure survival. Barry Brandt, a fixture in Arkansas television and weather, will lead SEVERE WEATHER SAFETY, a live call-in show on which aired Tuesday, Mar. 23, 2007 at 7 p.m.

Brandt, KATV/Channel 7 meteorologist, leads a panel of experts to answer viewer questions and discuss strategies for avoiding trouble with weather, limiting personal injury and property damage from a weather event, and recovering after the fact.

Panelists scheduled to appear include: John Robinson, Warning Coordination Meteorologist for the National Weather Service; James Thompson, Senior Communications Specialist for Entergy Arkansas; N. Wayne Ruthven, Director of the Arkansas Department of Emergency Management; and Kirt Bierbaum, Executive Director of the American Red Cross of Faulkner County.
